Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale was an American professional basketball athlete for the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association. She was a player for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in college, before she was selected as the fifth pick overall by the Wings in the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was born on February 2nd in 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. In July 2014 she was picked to be a member of the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was also included on the ACC All-Freshman Team following her first collegiate year. Kobe Bryant congratulated her after shooting a number of big shots in the NCCA Tournament. Although still a newbie she has earned herself the status of an outstanding basketball pro and is likely to follow her dream.
