Robyn Rihanna Fenty also called Rihanna by Barbadians is a songwriter and singer. Her hits include Pon de Replay, SOS Umbrella and Take a Bow. A very successful artist still at the peak of her young age, she's sold over 41 million albums and 150 million songs around the world, making her one of the most successful artists ever. Born in Barbados she was raised listening to reggae and started singing when she was quite young. Unhappy with her chaotic family life and the constant arguments between her parents, she immersed her self in music. She before long realized that she wished to become a professional musician. While in high school she formed an ensemble and was a part of the auditions to be a part of Evan Rodgers. Evan Rodgers was amazed by her talent. In order to make an income as a professional singer she was asked to move in New York. Rihanna dropped her first album and was an overnight star. Rihanna was loved by young people due to her lively, foot-tapping music. It led to her becoming a director. Being a gifted young lady, Rihanna has been hailed as a teen idol. Rihanna put her celebrity to positive use as she is actively involved in several charities.
